It’s Opening Day – a Detroit tradition – and although we are more of a basketball family, Lucas and I will check out the game this afternoon. In true Mitten State fashion it’ll possibly be snowing; however, the sun is out so we’ll pretend it’s nice with open curtains. I don’t mind the cold but I am looking forward to nice weather. I want Lucas to enjoy the great outdoors and sports so long walks at the Metro Park and River Walk, Eastern Market, DCFC games and perhaps even a Tigers game are all on my spring to-do list.
Detroit baseball is an appropriate way to start the weekend since we’re taking Lucas to the city for the first time Sunday for breakfast at Parks and Rec. Yes, Detroit related blog items will start finding their way back to these pages.Other weekend plans include mall walking with Cara, I need the exercise and some nursing friendly clothing items. Lindsey has started selling Clever Contaniers and we’re going to her launch party. Our house will also be organized from top to bottom by weekend-end and it is so refreshing to know there isn’t a piece of junk or item out of place. Sunday night Gina will come over with Cirdan for an inevitably cringe-worthy episode of Once Upon A Time.
Did you see your photos in Detroit River Living Magazine?!
