This week’s household project was a chalkboard for the dining room. You may have noticed it in the background of the last post but here’s the close up. To my surprise and delight Danny was actually the one to initiate the project this weekend. The frame had been sitting against the wall for months (a $12 find from our wedding) and I finally decided I wanted to do the Pinterest popular project of a chalkboard. The wood and paint were a minimal expense (less than $20) and easy to prepare. I snagged the board idea from this pin. It’s not a perfect match but I did better than I thought I would. Thankfully the phrase will last many months around here and I don’t have to try my hand at it again for awhile.
