In New Orleans it’s Mardi Gras but in Detroit it’s Paczki Day. If you live here it needs no further explanation. For the past couple days you’ve seen signs everywhere (and people waiting in long lines). My staple donut place doesn’t even offer donuts today – well at least not technically. A Paczki is basically a massive donut with more calories than you want to think about. But it’s a tradition. So even though I need to step on a scale today, I shall indulge.
