Revlon Love

As I get older I realize more and more the importance of make-up.  It’s getting really uncomfortable looking in a mirror.  The result is that I’m now much more faithful about wearing make-up.  I hate the extra work and REALLY need to shape up with the make-up removal process (and skincare in general) but today it’s about the make-up.
For the past year or two I’ve tried a lot of different brands (Neutrogena, Cover Girl, Maybelline, etc.) but nothing fancy.  I know there are healthier and more transformative make-up brands out there but with a limited budget I stick to brands that can be easily and affordably secured.  The clear cut winner is definitely Revlon.  Above is my go to morning make-up kit.  Obviously, the moisturizer isn’t Revlon but everything else is.
FACE:
Revlon PhotoReady Concealer ($9.99): The MVP of my make-up kit.  This concealer hides my bags, red nose and the odd shadows around my mouth.  It’s smooth and blends easily,
Revlon PhotoReady Powder ($11.99): I’ve tried many powders and most are messy – this is not.  The consistency is perfect and I think the color is a decent match.
EYES:
Revlon Illumiance ($5.99): This creme shadow is amazing.  The colors are beautiful and I can apply it with my finger.  It also has an edge over powder because I feel like powder wipes away too easily.
Revlon ColorStay Overtime ($7.99): Concealer is my must but mascara is my favorite.  If I don’t put on any other make-up I will put on mascara – it makes the world of difference.
Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner ($7.49): I’m horrible with eyeliner but if I’m going on at night I do put it on.  I like this kind because it’s not liquid but it also doesn’t require a pencil sharpener (ouch).
LIPS:
Revlon ColorStay Mineral Lip Glaze ($8.99): As far as I’m concerned lip gloss is the way to go.  I hate lipstick – too many purses have been stained by lipstick that lost it’s top.  I’ll take any lip gloss Revlon has to offer but the mineral glaze is especially nice.
The prices are from ULTA and I have to say I really like the store.  I discovered it by chance and have had a good experience.  The rewards membership is a great deal because it’s free and you earn money to buy items or services at the store.  Yesterday I had $20 to use and with an added 40% off Revlon products I was able to get the concealer, lip gloss and eye shadow!

Here’s a little before and after on the make-up front.  Nothing drastic but definitely noticeable.
