Month 9

DSC_1421

It’s the home stretch. One month from today we may have a baby. I don’t pretend to guess if he’ll be early, punctual or late. Currently, I have no symptoms. An occasional round ligament pain but rarely. Ironically, Lucas’ former elusive movements have increased so I guess he still has room and is enjoying life. I shall enjoy these last few weeks – swollen feet, cankles and all. 35/36 weeks have not gone by quickly and I don’t expect the last couple to go by any quicker but that’s okay. Time moves too quickly and I want to relish every minute we have with our little Lucas.

How far along?  35 weeks and 4 days
Total weight gain/loss: I’ll find out Friday but I’m guessing 35lbs minimum
Maternity clothes? Yeah, I’m hoping the ones I have see me through to the end.
Stretch marks? Not yet!
Sleep: I’m beyond exhausted these days. 1 to 3 p.m. is the hardest part of the day (workday or weekend – doesn’t matter).
Best moment to date: Lucas likes to keep his hand in my hipbone. Since my doctor assures me he can’t break his hand, I enjoy his odd little habit. Danny and I both suffer from anxiety so I can’t help but wonder if it’s a coping mechanism.
Miss Anything? My old body – ha!
Movement: Some days I want to put on a ‘Gone Fishing’ sticker but other days he’s a busy man and I love it. I can’t wait to give him lots of hugs and kisses.
Food cravings: No. I’m still on medicine and he doesn’t like food.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Sill on unisom and will remain on it until this is over.
Have you started to show yet: Definitely.
Gender: Boy – Lucas Mikhail
Looking forward to: Meeting our man!
