I don’t believe in waiting for a specific day or date to make a change; however, a new year does encourage a fresh start. I have big plans for this year and am excited to get started.
The first thing I did was chop off a half foot of my hair. I’m glad I did it and am happy with the look. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while because I was always pulling my hair up and it occurred to me that perhaps I don’t like having long hair. A fun thing about aging is discovering new things about yourself.
As for resolutions. This year I will adopt one new habit each month, building on the progress to – hopefully – end the year as a more productive and healthier person.
January’s goal is simple – drink a half gallon of water each day. An essential for good health and something achievable to keep the motivation levels high.
Here’s to 2017, may it not be as horrible as I fear it will be.
