Six months seems like forever and no time at all! I don’t want to wish time away – especially since I love the holiday season, quality time with Danny and sleep – but I can’t wait to meet our little man. It becomes more real every day and we both are anxious to hold him and see who he looks like. As we wait, I’m distracting myself with the nursery. We emptied the room and painted the walls this weekend. The wall collage items are mostly collected and Danny is set to finish the dresser this week. I’m doing my best to hold out for a sale on the crib but I’m can hardly wait to see the room put together. And even though I dread an abundance of toys, I simply couldn’t resist getting Lucas his first stuffed buddy yesterday during a Target run. Chester (named by Danny) was too cute to resist and his star accents match our theme so it seemed meant to be.
How far along? 23 weeks and 5 days
Total weight gain/loss: We’ll find out next week how much I’ve gained, I honestly couldn’t guess.
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Stretch marks? Not yet – I’m making Danny lather Burt’s Beewax on me each night.
Sleep: No complaints.
Best moment to date: Seeing Lucas’ nose and mouth for a hot second and hearing his heartbeat.
Miss Anything? Missing wine some nights but I’m ok with that…
Movement: Yes, he kicks and punches fairly often.
Food cravings: No.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I’m still on the Unisom. I’ve tried giving it up multiple times with no success. I am down to a half tab a day though.
Have you started to show yet: Yes, although some people don’t know I’m pregnant unless I bring it up…
